Jo Chaturvedi-Durant is a private market and VC investor with over 16 years’ experience in the investment management industry across the Asia Pacific and North America. Her experience includes global investment managers like Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, VU Venture Partners and most recently SA’s homegrown Eastend Ventures. She also volunteers on the investment committees for impact funds and university venture funds. She invests in traditional and alternative asset classes across stages, geographies and sectors with a focus on deep-tech opportunities where frontier technologies meet impact. She has experience with executive as well as and non-executive board roles, investing in and supporting portfolio companies across frontier tech such as Space, biotech, agtech, defence and robotics.
Jo’s academic background is in international business law, business management and narrative economics. She has authored thought pieces on macro and behavioral economics, retirement investing, asset allocation trends and impact of innovative technologies on the economy. She has extensive experience advising governments, founders, accelerators, universities, FRDCs and Not for profits.
