Biography
Nick has worked in Space and Astronomy technology for 17 years. He’s been privileged to work on a wide variety of spacecraft including telecommunication and defence satellites, as well as large and small science missions such as BepiColombo, Sentinel 5P and ExoMars. Nick has been at CSIRO since 2017, and currently leads the Space Research Group, focussing on utilising space assets to support Australian science, and translating terrestrial technology into the space domain. They draw on CSIRO-wide R&D expertise for projects in a variety of space domains including SDA, ISRU & robotics, optical systems, sensing and novel materials.
