Byron is a Partner in Deloitte’s space sector advisory practice with 30 years’ experience in the space, information and communications technology sectors. He advises all segments of the space ecosystem including defence, downstream users of space capability including mining & energy resources, utilities, agriculture, transport and insurance, universities, and high growth potential tech companies.

Prior to Deloitte, Byron co-founded, grew and exited several high growth tech ventures.

Byron leads Deloitte’s global space & geospatial tech accelerator program, the GRAVITY Challenge, an initiative assisting downstream end user organisations better leverage space capability to solve their high value business challenges. He led Deloitte’s role in partnering with Saber Astronautics to build and design Australia’s space mission control facility.

A passion topic for Byron is the resilience of space systems, reflected in his role serving on the board, of US non-for-profit, the space-ISAC, along with other global space executives.
