Chief Operating Officer, iLAuNCH Trailblazer Dr Milica Symul is an experienced Senior Manager with demonstrated achievements in the R&D and higher education sectors. Dr Symul has a PhD in physics, and has led research and innovation capabilities across Australia, building her knowledge of strategic planning and commercialisation. As the Chief Operations Officer (iLAuNCH), Dr Symul will work alongside the executive team to design and implement business operations, establish policies that promote the Trailblazer vision, and oversee general operations, including financial governance. She joins iLAuNCH from her previous role, as associate director of the RMIT Space Industry Hub, where she was responsible for the business development and growth of the Victorian space industry. Prior to RMIT, Dr Symul spent over 10 years at the Australian National University, (including the ANU Institute for Space) and the University of Canberra. She has successfully developed several joint ventures between academia and industry resulting in multi-million dollars of investments.
