Hannah Ashford is a non-profit leader and lawyer working to unite global decision-makers and drive collaborative action for a sustainable, peaceful future in space. As Co-Founder & Managing Director of The Karman Project, Hannah works with public and private sector space leaders from over 70 nations, facilitating forums for strategic dialogue and projects to accelerate international cooperation. She leads the foundation’s strategic growth, including its flagship Fellowship program and United Nations policy efforts, while cultivating an extensive network of global partners.

To further advance the sector, Hannah serves on the Advisory Councils for King Charles III’s Astra Carta, the University of Oxford’s Space Initiative, and The Exploration Company. In 2025, she was awarded the ‘Young Space Leader’ honour by the International Astronautical Federation and continues in her role as a mentor with the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience.

With a background in law, journalism, and innovation, Hannah began her career practising as a lawyer in Australia before spending five years in the European ecosystem, where she notably led Product & Innovation at Factory Berlin. A graduate of the University of Queensland and the International Space University, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to space diplomacy – bridging sectors, fostering trusted collaboration, and amplifying underrepresented voices in global leadership.
