Biography
Internationally recognized expert, advisor, and consultant in weather, water, and climate, specializing in Earth observation and international data exchange, processing, utilization, and policy. From 2019 to 2023, I served as the Director of the Infrastructure Department at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), where I led global coordination of observations, data exchange, and modelling across weather, climate, water, oceans, and the cryosphere.
I am an Adjunct Industry Associate professor at RMIT University and have a PhD in Satellite Meteorology (RMIT) and a Master’s in Public Administration (ANZSOG). Prior to my role at WMO, I held various positions within the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, including Chief Data Officer, General Manager of the Observations Program and a number of corporate and executive roles.
